Accountant
Pactum is looking for an enthusiastic and driven Accountant to join our team in Estonia. We are looking for someone with a proactive mindset and ability to take ownership of assigned tasks and responsibilities. As a key member of the Finance team, you will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day accounting activities, ensuring timely month-end close processes, and collaborating on financial reporting.
We are looking for someone who will be responsible for:
- Managing Accounts Payable (A/P) and Accounts Receivable (A/R), including processing invoices, reimbursements, and invoicing customers.
- Processing of local payroll in Estonia and supporting payroll operations across other locations.
- Collaborating in the timely closing of books, preparing monthly reconciliations and financial statements.
- Ensuring financial records are maintained in compliance with accepted policies and procedures for both US and Estonia tax and related purposes.
- Working closely with the Finance team to prepare and analyze key financial reports, including Revenue and Gross Margin analyses, and providing ad-hoc reporting as needed.
- Supporting the team during financial audits by preparing documentation and ensuring availability of required documentations to facilitate smooth audits.
You are likely to succeed if you have:
- A bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, other related field, or equivalent experience.
- 2-3 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in a similar role or industry.
- Knowledge of operational accounting processes and financial reporting, understanding of Estonian accounting principles. Experience with the U.S. GAAP is preferred, but not required.
- Excellent time management skills and ability to ensure accuracy in all accounting tasks, with a strong attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Xero, Merit, or similar ERP systems, with advanced Excel skills.
- The ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to support financial operations and process improvements.
